Return & Warranty Policy

Oz’s Garage sells used, tested, OEM automotive parts for classic, European, Japanese, and domestic vehicles. Because many of our parts are used, discontinued, vintage, or hard-to-find, our return and warranty policy is designed to be fair while protecting against improper installation, misuse, part swapping, and electrical damage.
By placing an order with Oz’s Garage, the customer agrees to the terms below.
1. 30-Day Replacement Warranty
Most parts sold by Oz’s Garage include a 30-day warranty for replacement only if the part fails under normal use.
The warranty period begins on the original delivery date shown by the carrier tracking information.
If a covered part fails within the warranty period, Oz’s Garage will first attempt to replace the item with the same or equivalent part, depending on availability.
If a replacement is not available, Oz’s Garage may, at its discretion, offer store credit or another reasonable resolution.
2. Used Parts Notice
Unless clearly stated otherwise, parts sold by Oz’s Garage are used OEM parts. They may show normal cosmetic wear, scratches, marks, dust, fading, or signs of prior use.
Cosmetic wear does not qualify as a defect unless the product listing specifically promised a different condition.
We recommend that all parts be inspected before installation and installed by a qualified technician.
3. Replacement Only — No Refunds on Classic / Used Auto Parts
Due to the nature of used, vintage, electrical, and classic car parts, Oz’s Garage does not offer refunds on classic or used auto parts once the item has been shipped, installed, tested, altered, damaged, or used.
Approved warranty claims are handled by replacement when possible.
Refunds, if granted, are at the sole discretion of Oz’s Garage and may exclude original shipping costs, payment processing fees, handling costs, and return shipping.
4. Return Authorization Required
All returns, warranty claims, and exchanges require prior written authorization from Oz’s Garage.
To request authorization, contact us by email at:
Please include:
Order number;
Customer name;
Part number, if available;
Vehicle year, make, model, and engine;
Clear explanation of the issue;
Photos and/or video showing the part, markings, connectors, and condition;
Diagnostic information, if applicable.
Do not send any item back without return authorization. Unauthorized returns may be refused or delayed.
5. Photo / Video Evidence May Be Required
For warranty claims, damage claims, wrong-item claims, or defect claims, Oz’s Garage may require photos or videos before approving a replacement.
This helps us verify the item, condition, installation issue, shipping damage, part number, and whether the same item originally shipped is being returned.
Failure to provide requested evidence may delay or void the claim.
6. Exact Same Part Must Be Returned
For any approved return or warranty replacement, the customer must return the exact same part originally shipped by Oz’s Garage.
Returned parts are inspected for serial numbers, markings, tamper marks, internal components, condition, connectors, and other identifiers.
Part swapping, returning a different unit, returning a customer’s original failed part, or returning an incomplete item will void the warranty and may result in denial of refund, replacement, or store credit.
7. Items Not Covered
The warranty does not cover:
Improper installation;
Incorrect diagnosis;
Electrical shorts, power surges, burned circuits, or wiring problems;
Water damage, corrosion, overheating, or physical damage;
Tampering, opening, modification, soldering, cutting, painting, or alteration;
Damage caused by another defective vehicle component;
Parts installed on the wrong vehicle or incompatible application;
Labor, programming, coding, towing, rental cars, shop fees, diagnostic fees, lost time, or incidental costs;
Cosmetic wear on used parts;
Buyer’s remorse or ordering the wrong part.
8. Installed or Altered Items
Items that have been installed, altered, opened, modified, damaged, or tampered with are generally not returnable.
If an installed item fails within the 30-day warranty period, it may be eligible for replacement only, subject to inspection and approval by Oz’s Garage.
9. Shipping Costs
Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
Buyer is responsible for return shipping unless Oz’s Garage determines that we shipped the wrong item or made an order fulfillment error.
For items originally shipped with “free shipping,” the actual outbound shipping cost may be deducted from any approved refund or store credit.
Oz’s Garage is not responsible for installation fees, labor charges, diagnostic charges, programming fees, towing, rental vehicles, customs fees, duties, taxes, or other incidental expenses.
10. Damaged in Shipping
If an item arrives damaged, the customer must notify Oz’s Garage within 24 hours of delivery.
Please keep the original packaging, box, labels, packing materials, and the damaged item. Photos of the box, label, packaging, and damaged part may be required for a carrier claim.
Failure to report shipping damage within 24 hours may limit our ability to file a carrier claim or provide a replacement.
11. International Orders
International orders are eligible for replacement or store credit only, subject to inspection and approval.
The buyer is responsible for return shipping, customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, and any additional international shipping costs unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Oz’s Garage is not responsible for customs delays, import restrictions, refused packages, unpaid duties, or fees charged by the destination country.
12. Order Cancellations
Cancellation requests must be sent by email to:
Orders can only be cancelled before they are processed, packed, labeled, or loaded for shipment.
Once an order has been processed or shipped, it cannot be cancelled and will be handled under this Return & Warranty Policy.
13. Heavy / Oversized Orders
Orders over 30 pounds, oversized items, freight items, or large body/mechanical parts may require a commercial delivery address.
Additional shipping charges may apply for residential delivery, liftgate service, re-delivery, remote areas, or special handling.
14. Store Credit
When store credit is issued, it may be used toward a future purchase from Oz’s Garage.
Store credit has no cash value and is not transferable unless approved in writing by Oz’s Garage.
15. Final Decision After Inspection
All returned items are inspected before any replacement, store credit, or refund is issued.
Oz’s Garage reserves the right to deny a claim if the returned item is damaged, incomplete, altered, swapped, misused, or not the same item originally shipped.
