Classic and vintage engines often use gaskets that are thin, brittle, expensive, or no longer available. Metal alignment pins and improvised tools can scratch aluminum, stress gaskets, or cause misalignment.

That’s why OZ’s Garage developed these alignment pins from PETG, a tough, slightly flexible polymer that:

• Won’t scratch aluminum surfaces

• Won’t crush or stretch fragile gaskets

🟦 How It Works (Two Uses – Same Pins)

USE #1 – Gasket Installation (Out of the Car)

1. Remove the cam or valve cover from the engine

2. Insert the M6 PETG pins from the outside of the cover until the heads are fully seated

3. From the inside of the cover, the pins will be visible

4. Carefully slide the gasket onto the pins so it seats correctly

5. Optional: apply gasket compound only if required by your gasket manufacturer

USE #2 – Engine Installation & Bolt Swap

1. With the gasket installed, lower the cam cover onto the engine

2. The PETG pins guide the cover into the engine bolt holes

3. Remove one pin at a time

4. Visually confirm alignment

5. Replace each pin with the original M6 bolt
